Starting with clear objectives

Clear objectives ensure a smooth collaboration between Elindus and NORRIQ.

The systems do need to match that ambition, of course. After determining the IT strategy with the help of one of the Big Four consultants, the reliability, cost, knowledge and capacities of the employees — as well as a forward-thinking attitude — were defined as the main points to focus on. These are all characteristics that we found in NORRIQ and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.’

‘There are some idiosyncrasies to our sector — like advances and settlements — that required some customisation. This wasn't an easy task, but thanks to the close and quick cooperation with NORRIQ, as well as their proactive thinking and effective problem-solving, we made short work of it. Mutual communication between data

As an energy supplier, Elindus possesses an extensive amount of data. But if these bits of data are not connected, correlated or allowed to communicate with one other, it's hard to profit from them.

‘We obviously have access to a lot of commercial data, but there is also an abundance of operational data — like meter readings and details around consumption. Add a great deal of financial data to that, and it becomes clear how hard it is not to drown in a sea of data. NORRIQ understood the necessity of allowing these bits of data to mutually communicate, and that the connections between different packages were essential to distil the valuable data. This was also considered with regard to the implementation.’

‘In the meantime, we have arrived at the second phase, and the processing of incoming invoices is being automated into an invoice workflow. Invoices are recognised, recorded and automatically transferred into an approval workflow. This flow can be monitored and creates a more complete image and saves time and money. After all, there is less manual labour and pointless additional costs of unpaid invoices are avoided.’

Stepping into the future together

NORRIQ doesn't stop after implementation, however. During, but especially after, the project, Elindus is supported by the NORRIQ Care Team. ‘This team largely consists of people who have implemented our solutions, so that they are completely informed and can deliver answers quickly.’


The second phase is currently coming to an end and the most pressing projects are behind us. ‘We are now in the final phase, after which everything we defined as necessary will be finalised. There will certainly be new projects in future and NORRIQ will be the first party we invite to the table.’
